South Carolina man taken into custody for alleged DUI

Being charged with DUI can be a definite low point in someone’s life. As a result, they may look upon that mistake with regret and hope that they can find the best legal routes that could help them navigate their situation. Doing research regarding their particular DUI circumstances and exploring their options could help them make the choices that they feel is most beneficial.

A man in South Carolina may be hoping to find helpful information on his situation after he was recently taken into custody. It was reported that authorities reportedly received a call about a person sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle. When authorities arrived at the scene, they allegedly found the man in a stopped vehicle that was in the roadway.

Upon investigation, police reportedly found an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. The man allegedly declined to partake in any field sobriety tests, but officers purportedly found that the man was slurring his speech and had trouble standing. Authorities charged him with driving under the influence, and he was taken into custody. He has since been released, but it is likely that a court date is pending for his case.

In order to effectively handle his situation, the man may wish to gather information on how his particular circumstances could affect his case. While doing so, he may wish to become more knowledgeable about South Carolina criminal proceedings for DUI to potentially better understand what he could expect as his situation moves forward. Making the choices that he feels most comfortable with could be prudent to his case, and therefore, he may want to ensure that he is aware of his options.
